The executive Chairman of Ajoni LCDA Prince Michael Ogungbemi has joined millions of Nigerians celebrating the nation’s 63rd independence anniversary urging citizens to come together to build a stronger egalitarian society.
He stated this in a press statement he personally signed and made available to our correspondent yesterday.
According to him, “As Nigerians celebrate her 63rd Independence Day Anniversary, I want to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this day and extend my heartfelt greetings to all. This occasion presents us with an opportunity to celebrate the freedom that our nation has achieved, while also reminding us of our responsibilities as citizens.
“On this momentous day, let us express our gratitude to the countless patriots who fought tirelessly for our freedom and liberty, and remember those who sacrificed their lives for the freedom we now enjoy. It is a day to honor their courage, determination, and unwavering commitment to our nation.
“Independence Day is not just a time to rejoice, but also a time for introspection.
“As the Chief Servant of our newly created Local Council Development Area, I urge everyone to reflect upon the progress we have made in our Administration, as well as the challenges that lie ahead. Let us come together, united in purpose, to build a stronger, egalitarian, more prosperous LCDA and nation.
“Today, I encourage everyone to not only celebrate but to also contribute towards the growth and development of our nation. Let us strive to be responsible citizens, working towards the common goal of uplifting our communities and fostering a sense of unity and inclusivity amongst all.
“As we commemorate Independence Day, let us keep in mind the values that our founding fathers embraced – freedom, justice, equality, and peace. It is these principles that should guide our actions as we navigate the path towards progress and prosperity.
“I extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you on this momentous occasion. May this Independence Day serve as a constant reminder of our duty to our nation and inspire us to work harder for the betterment of our country.
Long live Ajoni LCDA!
Long live Ekiti State!
Long live Nigeria!
Happy Independence Day!”
