By E O Patunola

To forestall any security threat during the celebration of July 7 or ‘7/7 by members of dreaded secret ‘Aye’ cult group, the Ekiti chapter of Western Nigeria Security Network popularly called Amotekun has embarked on a joint show of force patrol with other sister security operatives in major flash points in the state at the weekend.

Recalled that members of Aiye cult group often pick the date to unleash mayhem to unsuspecting members of the public in what many described as yearly festival of bloodshed.

However, operatives of Amotekun corps in collaboration with the Nigerian Police and the military mounted joint patrol across the three senatorial districts in the state as they not only did stop and search of vehicles but combed the forests while the operation lasted.

At the end of the successful all round exercise, no incident was recorded.
