..Appreciates Fayemi for initiative

The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has commended Governor Biodun Oyebanji for being an agent of vision sustenance, leading to the progress made so far on the Ekiti Cargo Airport project. The words of commendation was contained in a press release signed by Mr Babajide Agbeyo SA on Media to the Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly and made available to newsmen on Tuesday.
Aribasoye, in a remark at plenary on Monday, said it was cheering that the state had secured approval for non-scheduled flights to the Cargo Airport by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
He noted that the Governor deserved commendation for not abandoning the airport project but choosing to pursue the legacy to a logical and functional point.
The Speaker expressed confidence that other outstanding procedures would be met to ensure scheduled flights begin to operate in less than six months.
He recalled that the state assembly, in its responsible style, provided all necessary legal and legislative frameworks to see the project up to the current point.
Rt. Hon. Aribasoye called on the people of Ekiti to embrace the project and support the vision, which he described as immediately beneficial and ultimately valuable for the future.
The parliament helmsman thanked former governor Kayode Fayemi for bequeathing such a valuable project to the state, stressing that posterity would judge him right.
He underlined the importance of the continuity of good governance and a succession process that guarantees vision protection, value addition, policy sustenance, and political stability.
The Ekiti Assembly Speaker reaffirmed the resolve of the 7th Assembly to constantly legislate for progress, justice, dignity, and advancement.
