ADEMOLA LOOKMAN LOSES BEST AFRICAN PLAYER’S AWARD TO MOHAMED SALAH

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has beaten Ademola Lookman to win Marca’s Best African Players award.
Ademola Lookman has been in tremendous form both last season and the current season scoring great goals.

The Super Eagles star helped his club win their first European trophy in history, scoring a hattrick in the final of the Europa League.

The winger has now scored eight goals and four assists in his first 13 games for Atalanta this season.

Salah has been named the Best African Footballer of the 2023-2024 season, with seven African players included in the list.

According to Marca, the Egyptian international finished 31st in the overall ranking with 1,211 points.

More than 100 international journalists, commentators, and former football players made up the jury that decided the vote.

Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior came first in the overall ranking by Marca, with Jude Bellingham finishing second and Rodri coming third.

Nigerian international Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen, who finished the previous season with 21 goals and 10 assists, is the second-ranked African player
