26 INDIGENT CITIZENS BENEFIT FROM BAO’S MONTHLY SUPPORT PROGRAM

Governor Oyebanji on Wednesday, put smiles on the faces of another set of 26 Ekiti indigenes who benefitted from his monthly social intervention program.

The initiative, anchored by the SSA Governor’s Office, Mrs Sola Abe, aims to alleviate the burdens of the less privileged and provide hope to the downtrodden in the state.

Financial support was provided to students who were unable to pay their tuition fees and vulnerable people facing financial difficulties with medical expenses.

Also, wheelchairs were given to physically challenged persons to improve their mobility.

The intervention was one of many initiatives of Governor Oyebanji to provide succor to the needy in times of distress.

The beneficiaries expressed deep gratitude to the Governor for his act of benevolence, kindness and compassion for vulnerable citizens.

The Director-General, Office of Community Communications, Mrs Mary Oso-Omotosho, emphasized that Governor Oyebanji is the type of leader who would give up his own comfort for the poor masses to enjoy.

The Special Adviser on Tertiary Institutions, Dr. Mayowa Azeez, who was at the event, urged students who received tuition assistance to be studious and focused. He advised them to seize this opportunity and make the governor proud through their academic achievements, which will encourage further support for their growth.
