The Ultimate League Premier UPL 2025 kicked off in a thrilling fashion, with defending champions Gateway FA setting the tone with a 1-0 victory over ABUAD FC. Ibirinde Segun’s lone strike sealed the win for the champions.
EKSU Galacticos and Crown Royal FC shared the spoils in a goalless draw, while Royal FA’s match against Agbana FA was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Unity FC secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Choice FC, with Sheriff Bakare’s free-kick goal proving insufficient for the Lemon Boys. NIS FC and BELLATORES SC played out a thrilling 2-2 draw, but the match’s outcome is pending a decision from the league management.
In the most explosive match of the week, Wondersxchange FC edged CRANKSHAFT FC 3-2 in a five-goal thriller.
The opening match was witnessed by members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Ekiti State chapter being Media partners for the Ultimate Premier League 2025.
