2023/24 SEASON: OYEBANJI PLACES PREMIUM ON EKITI UNITED PLAYERS’ WELFARE

By Sports Editor

Players and officials of Ekiti United FC will resume for official club activities today Thursday August 17 in preparation for the 2023/24 Nigerian National League.

All the retained players are expected to resume at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium in Ado Ekiti by 7am to begin training while invited players are expected to join the team promptly for screening.

In line with the directive from the NNL management, Ekiti United FC tutored by coach Kehinde Anjorin is expected to have at least 30 players in it’s fold for the 2023/24 NNL season.

With the current trend in the club, there are indications that the State governor, Biodun Oyebanji would surpass the efforts of previous governments through provision of adequate financial back up for the team ahead of the kickoff of the Nigeria National League (NNL)

Feelers from the team shows that it’s the first time that the club does not have external debts hanging on its shoulders prior to the  commencement of a new season as the state government has cushioned the effects of the current economic hardship in the country.

The club is also hoping to enjoy an improved branding following a partnership with one of the friends of the team while priority will be placed on the welfare and wellbeing of the players by the Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s led administration.

The Nigeria National League is expected to commence in September.
