For Mr Adebayo Adeyomoye, the outgone Director of information for Ado Local Government, yesterday December 10 was indeed, a December to remember as he proudly quit the service of the Local Government in a blaze of glory after spending a remarkably 35 unblemished years in service.
In a grand send forth ceremony organized by the staffers of the Council in honour of one of their own, the retiring top official of the Council was generously garlanded with accolades for what many described as his uncanny love for hard work, dedication, loyalty, tact and exceptional brilliance with a signature tune of “You are well recognized”.
Ademoye, flanked by his beautiful wife received loads of commendations by NULGE executive, his colleagues at work as well as a representative of his family amongst others amid wide applause by all well-wishers who converged at the party’s secretariat along Igirigiri road to be a part of the historic event.
The icing of the cake was the surprise arrival of the Executive Chairman of the LG Chief Bosun Osaloni at the event which drew considerable thrills and frills to the joyous occasion.
The Council Boss in his address, recounted how his path crossed with the retiring Council official at a public function and how he fell in love with him on account of his composure, brilliance and professionalism, hence, his request for Ademoye to work with him at the next available staff recruitment exercise and the rest is history.
The highpoint of the momentous occasion came with the appointment of Ademoye as the Special Adviser on Publicity and Communications by Chief Osaloni noting that his service was still needed in the Local Government since he was retiring on account of years of service and not age.
Describing Ademoye as a dependable ally who has been representing him well at events, the Council boss admonishes other members of staff to emulate the good virtues of the celebrated official so as to reap the reward of hard work saying that there’s no short cut to success in life.
In a similar vein, the NULGE, Ado Ekiti chapter also appointed the Man of the moment as Special Adviser on Union Matters in recognition of his union activities.
In his address, the outgone Director of information who remarked that the occasion marked a glorious and marvelous day in his entire life said he had never been celebrated with such outlandish honour before.
Returning all glory to God and Chief Osaloni who he described in glowing tributes as; “My own adorable father, a community leader, leader of leaders, a pathfinder and a man noble in character” for the great role he played in shaping his life.
Reflecting on his humble beginning, Ademoye said; “When I started this work, I started with nothing, but today 10th of December 2025, I’m loaded with peace, I’m loaded with love and assets bestowed on me by God and High Chief Bosun Osaloni”
He used the occasion to thank his colleagues at work for the genuine love shown to him while praying for their day of joy to come quick.
Special recognition was given to Mrs Adeyomoye who he described as a pillar of support and prayer warrior without which he may not have achieved much in his career.
The fully loaded program was intertwined with side attractions such as ministration, choir presentation, cultural display and presentation of gifts and photo session with the Ayetoro-Ekiti born retired but not tired civil servant.
