…Declare Ekiti as One -party State

In a unanimous decision, Ekiti State All Progressives Congress, (APC)’s elders and stakeholders have thrown their weights behind the second term ambition of both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji
The party’s elders made the disclosure at a press conference held in Ado-Ekiti on Friday.
Addressing newsmen on the endorsement, former Deputy Governor of the State, Surveyor Abiodun Aluko said;
“We the leaders of APC and stakeholders in Ekiti State are of utmost conviction that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has performed creditably well. He is probably the only president that had prepared well enough before seeking the office of presidency in this country and since he came on board, he has taken bold steps to ensure that the near comatose and almost collapsing economy of Nigeria is now back on course and he is doing very well.
“The international communities, including the IMF, World Bank, the African Development Bank have all commended Mr President that he is on the right track and that the economy of Nigeria is taking a new shape. Because, but for the bold steps he took, the economy of Nigeria would have collapsed by now and we would have been bankrupt. So if such a person who inherited almost a bankrupt economy has been able to sustain this economy and all of you would be witnesses to the fact that Ekiti State governments are benefitting massively and maximally from the removal of fuel subsidy as each state government is earning more than double what they used to earn during the BuhariI’S regime and economic development is apparent everywhere” he says.
Continuing, the APC leader equally commended the Ekiti State Governor for toeing the path of good governance as Mr President.
His words; “In Ekiti State: if a governent is doing well, like the adage says- a good turn deserves another, we believed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be given a second term and all the stakeholders including a caucus in Ekiti State led by Otunba Niyi Adebayo and the likes of former Governor Kayode Fayemi and all the leaders of Ekiti APC had at the caucus meeting endorsed President Tinubu as well as as BAO for second term respectively. In other words, we the APC polical leaders in Ekiti State have decided to endorse both of them for second term”
“In Ekiti State, you don’t need to be told of what is happening in various sectors in terms of teachers, the pensioners, Obas, public servants, even farmers…. I mean every sector of society in Ekiti State has at one time or the other has endorsed for second term and there’s no community or local governments in Ekiti State that you won’t see the impact of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.
On the gale of endorsements, Surveyor Aluko said;
“Ekiti South started the endorsement last year, followed by Ekiti Central and later by Ekiti North and the whole of the polical tendencies in Ekiti, we have resolved that on the 23rd of this month, we want the whole world to know that Ekiti State is virtually a one-party State that APC in Ekiti is ready to deliver BAO for second term”
He however made a clarification that political campaigns has not started saying- “Political campaign has not started but we have a right to endorse whoever we believe is doing very well and is moving Ekiti State forward and as for the president, even the National Working Committee of the party had endorsed him, the Progressives Governors Forum had endorsed Mr President as well so, what we are doing here is reinforcing and supporting what others has done which is the truth that Mr President is doing well and the Governor is doing very well”
