CHIBOK GIRLS 12 YEARS AFTER: INTENSIFY EFFORTS TO RESCUE REMAINING ABDUCTED SCHOOL GIRLS – AKINGBADE

By Editor

Public Affairs Analyst, Prince Toyin Akingbade, has called on the Nigerian government and relevant stakeholders to intensify efforts toward rescuing the remaining abducted Chibok schoolgirls.

Speaking on a Fresh FM radio program , Akingbade expressed deep concern over the continued captivity of some of the abducted schoolgirls still languishing in their kidnappers’ den.

He noted that, despite the passage of over a decade in captivity, the plight of the missing girls should not be forgotten or neglected.

Akingbade urged the federal government to demonstrate stronger political will and adopt more proactive security measures to ensure the safe return of the victims.

He also appealed to international organizations and human rights groups to sustain pressure and support efforts aimed at securing their release.

The abduction of the Chibok girls in 2014 sparked global outrage and led to widespread campaigns demanding their release. While some of the girls have since been rescued or released, several are still believed to be in captivity.
Akingbade concluded by stressing that justice and compensation for the families can only be achieved when all the missing girls are safely reunited with their families.
