The Chairman of Eso-Obe LCDA Ikoro Ekiti Hon. Kole Ayeni has commenced the grading of roads leading to farmsteads in the Council Area.
He said the move became necessary as farmers in his domain are eagerly waiting for rains in preparation for the planting season.
He said: “The Council has made available caterpillar to grade farm roads in the community for the use of farmers who are eagerly waiting for the rains to come to begin the planting season in order to boost food production
“If the roads are motorable, transportation of farm products to the town would be more easier and I think this will lead to significant reduction in the price of farm produce” he said.
Among farm roads being graded include; Sakoro, Olode and Gbadamosi.
