The conferment of the prestigious chieftaincy tittle of Asiwaju of Iyin-Ekiti on the former Governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Niyi Adebayo has been described as a honour well deserved by the first democratically elected governor of the state.
Making the commendation during a press chat at the event, Senator Bode Ola hailed the recipient of the traditional title for his leadership qualities and commitment to the growth and development of his community and Ekiti State at large.
The former Federal lawmaker representing Ekiti Central senatorial District said the former Governor is a consumate politician and a thoroughbred Ekiti person who has made a remarkable contribution to the development of Ekiti State.
His words; “I rejoice with former Governor Niyi Adebayo on the conferment of the Asiwaju of Iyin-Ekiti on him by the Oluyin HRM Oba Adeola Adeniyi Ajakaye, Oyinyosoye 111 on this day of November 1st 2025. It is a honour well deserved for a complete gentleman, a consumate politician and thoroughbred Ekiti person who has made his own mark in the development of Ekiti State as the first democratically elected Governor of the State.
