In a remarkable show of unity and community engagement, the Executive Chairman, Ado North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Olatokunbo Gbadamosi has joined the Muslim faithful at Okeila Mosque, Ado Ekiti, to partake in the breaking of fast, a moment described by the Chief Imam, Bello Tajudeen, as unprecedented in the history of the mosque.
The special occasion held in the spirit of the Ramadan, underscores Hon. Gbadamosi’s commitment to fostering religious harmony and inclusivity within the LCDA.
Her presence and participation were well received by the Muslim community, as she shared in the joy and spiritual significance of the holy month.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman stressed the need for the faithful to support the people oriented Programme of the present administration of the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, so that the peace and progress being enjoyed by the people would continue.
“Ramadan is a time of self reflection, sacrifice and compassion. As leaders, it is our duty to promote peace and unity among all people, regardless of faith. We should also intensify our prayers and support for Governor BAO, in his quest of building a peaceful and progressive Ekiti State, ” she stated.
The Chief Imam of Okeila Mosque, accompanied by the Chief Imams of Okeyinmi and Dallimore/Kajola, lauded Hon. Gbadamosi’s unprecedented act, noting that her presence marked a new chapter in fostering goodwill between government leadership and religious bodies.
The Cleric prayed for continued peace, prosperity and Divine guidance in the State and Ado North LCDA in particular.
The event attended by top local government functionaries and community leaders was rounded off with prayers for the peace and development of Ekiti State and a shared commitment to strengthen interfaith cooperation.
Hon. Gbadamosi, also reassured the Muslim faithful of her administration’s unwavering support for religious inclusivity and implementation of developmental projects that will benefit all residents.
