A non-governmental socio-exonomic development organization, Ekiti Future Agenda (EFA), registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria, has announced a comprehensive organisational restructuring aimed at strengthening its institutional framework, enhancing operational efficiency and advancing its socio-economic development objectives ahead of 2027.
The restructuring introduces a strengthened Central Working Team and four operational directorates designed to improve policy development, communication, project implementation and grassroots mobilisation.
The initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to building a more structured, accountable and results-oriented institution capable of responding effectively to the development aspirations of Ekiti State and its people.
Under the new arrangement, the registered Board of Trustees (BOT) remains unchanged, with Adesina Adetola serving as Chairman. Other members are Engr. Oludare Ale, Dr. Hidiat Popoola, Mr. Akin Oluwadare Jnr, Engr. Yomi Jegede, Elder Gboyega Adetola and Dr. Adedeji Adedayo, who serves as Secretary.
The Central Working Team, which will coordinate the organisation’s internal operations and implementation of its programmes, will be chaired by Dr. Sikiru Olowoyo, with Dr. Tunde Ajayi as Secretary.
As part of efforts to move beyond deliberations and policy ideas to practical interventions and measurable development outcomes, EFA has established four operational directorates.
The Directorate of Policy and Research will be chaired by Dr. Damilola Owoeye, with Mr. Bayo Abiodun as Secretary. The directorate will focus on research, policy analysis, development-oriented ideas and evidence-based recommendations to support the organisation’s programmes and advocacy initiatives.
The Directorate of Communication will be headed by Mrs. Ijeoma Adeniyi as Chairperson, with Mr. Olumide Nathaniel as Secretary. Its responsibilities will include public communication, media engagement, information dissemination, publicity and the promotion of the organisation’s activities and development agenda.
The Directorate of Projects and Impact will be chaired by Rt. Hon. Toba Fatunla, with Mr. Pelumi Abiara as Secretary. The directorate will drive project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, with emphasis on tangible outcomes and sustainable community impact.
The Directorate of Grassroots Mobilisation will be chaired by Funso Balogun, with Ms. Olumide Esther as Secretary. It will focus on community engagement, stakeholder mobilisation, volunteer coordination and strengthening EFA’s presence and participation at the grassroots level across Ekiti State.
To ensure accountability and effectiveness, each directorate will be assigned clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) against which its activities and achievements will be assessed. The specific indicators and operational targets will be communicated in due course.
Speaking on the restructuring, the Convener and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Adesina Adetola, said the exercise was part of a deliberate effort to reposition the organisation for greater effectiveness, stronger institutional coordination and increased contributions to the development of Ekiti State.
He emphasised that the new structure was designed to provide clearer responsibilities, strengthen teamwork and ensure that the organisation’s ideas, advocacy efforts and development initiatives translate into practical results.
According to him, the restructuring will also enhance the organisation’s ability to mobilise people, resources and opportunities in support of a more prosperous, inclusive and self-sustaining Ekiti State.
He added that the introduction of performance indicators would promote accountability, improve coordination and enable the organisation to assess progress against clearly defined objectives.

The organisation expressed appreciation to its members, partners and supporters for their continued commitment, while calling for renewed dedication and cooperation in advancing its mission.
