The newly appointed Executive Director/CEO of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), Engr. Julius Oluwamuyiwa Oloro, has expressed a heart of gratitude to God and the magnanimity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, on the new appointment.

He made the remarks at a Thanksgiving ceremony last weekend to mark his new appointment after resuming office last August.

Oloro’s appointment followed the death of the former Executive Director of the Centre, Dr. AbdulGafar Kamaldeen.

Earlier, the former Council Boss of Ojodu LCDA in a press statement, pledged to reposition NCAM as a leading institution in agricultural mechanisation, research, innovation and technology development, while building on the achievements recorded by the Centre over the years.

He said his administration would prioritise excellence, transparency, accountability, teamwork and innovation in the discharge of NCAM’s mandate.

The new NCAM boss also urged members of staff to remain committed, disciplined and professional, stressing the importance of collaboration and result-oriented service in advancing agricultural mechanisation and contributing to enhanced food production and national development.

He called for collective efforts towards strengthening the Centre’s capacity to deliver on its mandate and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s quest for food security.

In a reaction, the management and staff of NCAM welcomed the new Chief executive and pledged their loyalty, dedication and support towards the successful implementation of his administration’s vision.

The new leadership is expected to build on NCAM’s role in promoting agricultural mechanisation and technological innovation as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s agricultural sector and achieve sustainable food security.
