Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State Capital was yesterday virtually shut down for about three hours as vehicular movement was affected in some parts where the exercise took place.
This was, as an 81 year-old man added glamour to the monthly BAO Walk initiative of Congressman Bimbo Daramola in recognition of Governor Oyebanji’s gigantic strides in the health sector.

The Ado Ekiti edition of the health awareness campaign which has traversed twelve Local Governments so far, was particularly symbolic coming a week to the June 20 much expected Ekiti governorship election
The successful hosting of 13th edition of BAO Walk in the state capital has however defied insinuations from several quarters that the monthly physical fitness program may have ended with the recently concluded primary elections of the ruling APC in the state.

An early morning light showers did not prevent large crowd of participants to converge at Tosin Aluko Garage along Ikere road where the exercise commenced in earnest with heavy presence of men of FRSC who coordinated and controlled traffic effectively while the exercise lasted.
The convener of the program, Hon. Bimbo Daramola led the procession ably joined by Hon. Sola Elesin, the Ekiti State APC chairman, Hon. Michael Akinleye, APC Ado Ekiti Chairman, Chief Bosun Osaloni amongst others.
Also in attendance were road transport members, okada riders, representatives of City Boy movement and security operatives to maintain law and order as the successful road show walked the 10 kilometers route from Tosin Aluko Garage through Ijigbo, Okeyinmi, Oke-Ila enroute Housing to Adebayo and gradually stopped at Fajuyi Pavilion where a grand carnival-like political reception was held.
On the podium to address the mamoth crowd included Chief Mrs Tosin Aluko-Ajisafe, Bode Osaloni, Hon Akinleye as well as the DG Bureau of Tourism Development Amb. Wale Ojo-Lanre.

They expressed gratitude to Congressman Bimbo Daramola for using the initiative of BAO Walk to mobilize grassroots support for the governor while reminding the people to vote massively for Oyebanji next Saturday for his good work to continue.
Hon. Daramola who doubles as the convener of Nitori Ojo Ola while briefing newsmen expressed joy at the large turn out of Ado residents saying that he was motivated by the increasing awareness by Ekiti people to take walking as habit in his sole campaign across 13 Local Governments which kicked off at Ikole last year.
He urged all participants not to waste their votes next Saturday saying that a vote for governor Oyebanji is vote for continuity of people oriented programs and policies.
