DR. MRS ADEBAYO THROWS LAVISH THANKS GIVING PARTY ON RETIREMENT @ 65

It was double celebrations of God’s faithfulness and mercy for the immediate past Provost of College of Health Technology, Ijero Ekiti Dr Mrs Cecilia Olajumoke Adebayo who turned 65, the mandatory age of retirement amidst pomp and celebrations.

Dateline, March 7, 2026, the event was held at BSO Multi-purpose Event Center opposite Aromokeye Pharmacy Adehun Ado Ekiti and attended by dignitaries from the academia, church, royalty, friends, family and well wishers.

The elated celebrant, flanked by her hubby, Engr. Adebayo in a resplendent special attire for the occasion, danced to the podium and was given a rousing welcome by jubilant audience as the colourful lavish party commenced with prayer by a clergy man from Gospel Faith Mission International GOFAMINT, the Church where she was ordained as a Deaconess.

An emotionaly charged but inspirational session was announced by the compete as friends, colleagues, church members paid their glowing tributes in goodwill messages to a woman many described as a seasoned education administrator, God fearing unassuming and a thoroughbred omoluabi from a royal family.

In her keynote address, the ‘Mother of the day’ expressed her profound appreciation to God for the great privilege to be able to witness the milestone age and to end well in her career journey.

Her words; “With a heart full of gratitude to God Almighty, I welcome you all to this special occasion marking my 65th birthday and retirement from active public service.

“Looking back over the past decades, I am deeply thankful to God for His faithfulness, protection, and guidance throughout my life and career. From my early years to my journey through education, teaching, and leadership, the Lord has been my strength and sustainer.

“I am particularly grateful for the opportunity to serve in the education sector and to contribute, in my own little way, to the development of students, colleagues, and institutions.

“Whatever achievements recorded along the way have only been possible through God’s grace and the support of many wonderful people.

“I sincerely appreciate my family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who have stood by me through the years. Your encouragement, prayers, and support have meant so much to me.

“As I stepped into this new phase of life, my desire is to continue serving God and humanity, using the experience and wisdom gained over the years for the good of others. Thank you all for celebrating this moment with me” she said
