Residents have appealed to the Ekiti State Government and relevant emergency agencies for urgent intervention. Community leaders also urged calm as assessments continue and efforts are being made to improve the situation on the ground.
Meanwhile, the traditional monarch and Paramount Ruler of Ijero-Ekiti, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Joseph Adebayo Adewole, JP, OFR, Arojojoye II, the Owa Ajero of Ijero Kingdom, alongside Hon. Ademola Ojo, member of the Ekiti State House of Assembly (Ijero Constituency), commiserated with the affected residents.
