Ahead of the commencement of campaigns for the June 20, 2026 Ekiti governorship election, the flagbearer of the New Nigeria People’s Party NNPP, Mr Abegunde Blessing, has appealed to politicians and critical stakeholders in the state to play the rules by the game.
The youthful activist-turned politician made the disclosure in a new year message to the people of Ekiti State issued by his campaign Office in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday.
He said; “I welcome all the good people of Ekiti State to the new year 2026 and appreciate God who has sustained them throughout the turbulent year of hardship and dire economic straits the country finds itself.
“Year 2026 is no doubt a crucial year for our people as campaigns are to start for the governorship election scheduled to hold on June 20, 2026. However, as we progress in this critical democratic journey, I want to appeal to all concerned stakeholders including politicians and their supporters to play the rules by the game by running an issue-based campaigns devoid of any form of violence”
He said the NNPP is committed to bring it’s message of good life, genuine democracy dividends and good governance saying that he is going to bring his wealth of experience as an advocate of citizens’ right to bear if he wins the governorship election.
