The Executive Chairman, Ekiti East Local Government, Hon.Ojo Oluwasegun, who doubles as the Chairman, Ekiti State ALGON, and National Treasurer, has lauded the courageous and leadership vision of the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on the submission of his Nomination Form for the 2026 governorship election at the National Secretariat, of All Progressive Congress (APC), in Abuja.
He described the development as a demonstration of continuity in good governance noting that the Governor’s decision was unanimously supported by eminent Ekiti leaders such as; former governors of the State, Federal, State and Local Government Legislatures, as well as Local Government and Local Council Development Area Chairmen.
Others include; workers, artisans and other critical stakeholders.
In furtherance of his support, Hon. Ojo, on his return from Abuja, took the message of the governor’s re-election to the grassroots in Omuo- Ekiti, where he toured various wards, distributing cash gifts, as a show of solidarity and appreciation for their steadfastness.
He also seized the occasion, to highlight Governor Oyebanji’s numerous people oriented projects, spanning infrastructures, education, health care, agriculture and youth empowerment, which have touched lives positively across the State
The ALGON Chairman, urged the people of Ekiti East and indeed all Ekiti indigenes, to throw their weight behind the Governor’s second term ambition, assuring that continuity in leadership will consolidate the gains of the administration and deliver greater dividends of democracy.
Hon. Ojo Olusegun, concluded with a passionate appeal to party faithfuls, workers, artisans, and community leaders to remain united and resolute, emphasising that “Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, represents the future of Ekiti- a future of growth, development and inclusiveness”.
