The Chief Priest of Ogbese Ise-Ekiti dry season festival High Chief Omotunde Paul and the Elemo (Oraye) of Ise Kingdom has paid a traditional homage to the DG Bureau of Touurism Development Ekiti State Amb Wale Ojo-Lanre Esq. in appreciation of the support and involvement of the State government in the just concluded Ogbese festival.
Chief Omotunde Paul in the appreciation letter he personally signed thanked the DG for his role as the representative of Ekiti State Governor whose commitment to the promotion and preservation of culture and traditions of Ekiti people is unparalleled.
His words; Your contribution and your encouragement before and during the annual Ogbese dry season festival has further strengthened our resolve to continually uphold our culture and tradition.
“By taking time out of your tight schedule and attend the event as a matter of priority so as to be fully equipped with facts about the festival was well appreciated and we are convinced that the present administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji is doing well by promoting our cultural heritage and tourism as tools for sustainable development. I’m sure you would have noticed the spiritual and economic benefits of the Ogbese festival in Ise land” he said.
The head of Oraye Quarters of Ise Ekiti however, used the occasion to inform the DG about the second stanza of the festival coming forth next August signifying the rainy season.

“Let me quickly bring to your notice that the second part (rainy season) of the festival comes up August this year, God sparing our lives”
Responding, Amb Wale Ojo-Lanre thanked the Elemo for his coming and particularly his prayers for him and for the success of Governor Oyebanji saying he did not take the Chief’s gesture for granted.
“I appreciate your coming with your entourage and I’m particularly blessed by your prayers and wishful positive pronouncements. I am a traditionalist and I take delight in any activity that promotes the culture and tradition of our people because they are the key components of Tourism” he said.
